Javier Mateos is a purely abstract, multi-media painter, gravitating to architecture, geometric figures and abstractness which he uses as his main subjects. The artists presence is seen in his works through the process of using dry tips or metal brushes to mark his paint, making it an intimate and visceral experience. Mateos' works have been exhibited in many galleries, and he has participated in exhibitions around Spain. His works are widely held in private and public collections in Europe and throughout the world.
