GETTING TO KNOW JESSICA LO

With her distinctive laugh, cool-girl style and never without her electric skateboard, here's a little bit about Sarsfield Brookes’ Cad Technician & Sales support whizz, and eternal optimist, Jessica Lo (Jess) 

What is your idea of perfect happiness?
Pure happiness for me is when I'm in the moment, enjoying and grateful for wherever I am, whatever I’m doing, with whoever I’ve surrounded myself with.

Where is next on the list once planes start flying again?
To go back to the Philippines and live that island life again would be incredible. This time being able to dive. The week lockdown in 2020 was announced, I was poised to purchase flights to holiday in Thailand and Bali, so these places will be my first stop.  

Which talent would you most like to have?
I've picked up Kite Surfing this year, so now I'm even keener to get over there, as well as finish my PADI certification.

What is your greatest fear?
To not have experienced or tired all that I’ve wanted to do. I don't have a list; I want to experience everything in life!

Do you speak any other languages?
I can speak conversational Mandarin, although I'm fluent in the mish-mash language of Mandarin with some English thrown into my sentences.

What would your last meal be?
Anything and everything my Mum makes, her Taiwanese cooking especially, I can never seem to replicate it, there's definitely a comfort to your Ma's cooking! 

What would be your ultimate alternative occupation?
An Architect…I spent a couple years in the industry and am grateful for the opportunities it gave me. It allowed me to find the path I am currently going down, which I am thoroughly enjoying.

Which 2021 Interior design trend you're most excited about?
Colour blocking but also, and quite contrarily, the trend of using natural textures to apply contrast, depth and diversity.

What is your most marked characteristic?
I have a very distinctive laugh. I have friends that can find me in a crowd of people from it despite not being very tall.
